Pirates placed RHP Gerrit Cole on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 4, with right shoulder fatigue. Cole is expected to miss at least two starts. It doesn't appear that the young right-hander has any structural damage, but the Pirates have decided it would be best to give him some rest. Cole hasn't looked like himself for about a month now, posting a pedestrian 4.01 ERA since the beginning of May. Jeff Locke has assumed his spot in the rotation.
