Pirates placed RHP Charlie Morton on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 30, with right elbow inflammation. The elbow was likely bothering him in his last start on Tuesday, when he allowed four runs over just four innings against the Reds. It's not clear how long Morton will be out or if he's undergone an MRI yet. The Pirates could replace him with Brad Lincoln, though Jeff Karstens (shoulder) is due back from the DL soon.
