Pirates placed OF Starling Marte on the 15-day disabled list with a right oblique strain. He suffered the injury during Saturday's game. It's a shame, as Marte had given the Pirates some spark with four homers and four steals in his first 23 contests. He seems likely to miss more than the minimum 15 days. Jose Tabata has been recalled and is taking Marte's spot in left field and at the top of the lineup.
