Pinch-hitting for just the second time this season, Alex Avila hit a game-tying homer in the ninth Wednesday against the White Sox. After driving in just one run in July, Avila has bounced back with nine homers and 30 RBI in 133 at-bats since the beginning of August. He's the game's best offensive catcher this year.
