Pierzynski is out of the lineup Saturday against the Pirates. With lefty Jeff Locke on the mound for the Pirates, Fredi Gonzalez opted to start Christian Bethancourt behind the plate. Pierzynski has struggled against left handers this season, batting just .125 over 16 at-bats.
