Phillips (groin) remains out of the lineup Thursday against the Cubs. The groin strain that forced Phillips from Tuesday's game was deemed mild, but he will miss a second straight start and his availability off the bench is uncertain. Ivan De Jesus will start at second base and lead off Thursday against left-hander Tsuyoshi Wada.
