Phillies sent INF Jayson Nix outright to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Nix is now off the Phillies' 40-man roster. The 31-year-old was batting just .154/.214/.231 with 18 strikeouts in 43 plate appearances this season for Philadelphia. He can refuse the outright assignment and become a free agent.
