Phillies re-signed SS Jimmy Rollins to a three-year, $38 million contract with a vesting option for 2015. He'll make $11 million in each of the next three seasons. If the $11 million option for 2015 does not vest, it becomes an $8 million club option or a $5 million player option. Rollins originally hoped to find a five-year contract this offseason, but once the Brewers and Cardinals settled on their shortstops, most believed it was only a matter of time before he returned to Philadelphia. While his production has slipped a bit in recent seasons, the terms of the deal aren't particularly outrageous. If Rollins can stay healthy, he'll have a chance to pass Hall of Fame third baseman Mike Schmidt as the team's all-time hit leader.
