Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro, Jr. said Monday that the strength in Chase Utley's left knee "seems to be improving."
It's almost exactly what he said last week, so this isn't much of an update. Utley is still rehabbing in Arizona and is expected to meet up with the team next week when the Phillies take on the Diamondbacks. There's no timetable for his return.
I think with the exception of his rookie season he's been over payed for years . Except the OLD team beggin him to play should drop his ass like a hot potato .
Overpayed bum! He had all offseason to prepare his knees for the season but instead decided to F... the team. What he should have been doing in his own time during the offseason he is doing on 'company' time, and getting payed for it. Shows you where his priorities are. They sure aren't about baseball anymore!

How long, and for what? Yeah without a clue when the knee gets off the couch
I think I have to drop him. Too many days of 'rest' for many players all through
MLB. Reliable players better than streaky players even if there not quite as
talented...
