Phillies and LHP Antonio Bastardo avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $2 million contract. Bastardo requested $2.5 million and was offered $1.675 million from the Phillies when arbitration figures were exchanged last week. The two sides found a middle ground on Tuesday evening. Bastardo will be back in a setup role for Philadelphia this season after sitting out the final 50 games of the 2013 campaign on a PED suspension.
