Phil Mackey of 1500ESPN.com writes that Chris Parmelee will likely be the Opening Day first baseman. Justin Morneau recently indicated that he would be more comfortable as the team's designated hitter, at least in the short-term, which has caused the Twins to reevaluate things. Parmelee had four homers and 14 RBI as a September call-up with the Twins last year after batting .287/.366/.436 with 13 home runs, 83 RBI and an .801 OPS with Double-A New Britain. We could see him having some sleeper potential in AL-only formats. With the recent changes, Ryan Doumit will likely have to shuffle between right field, catcher, DH and first base.
