Phegley (knee) is making progress in his recovery, but manager Bob Melvin was unwilling to place a target date for the catcher's return, Joe Stiglich of CSN California reports.

Phegley recently underwent a cortisone shot to address the lingering pain in his knee, so he may still have to wait a little bit for the shot to take full effect. He was able to play catch Saturday and said the session went well, so Phegley could be ready to go for Monday's series opener with the Rangers.
