Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe hears that the Red Sox are "open" to the idea of trading Jacoby Ellsbury. If they did, they would play Shane Victorino in center field and sign another corner outfielder like Cody Ross. The scenario seems unlikely, as Ellsbury, even though he's slated for free agency after 2013, is clearly the best player of the three despite his injury susceptibility. Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald reported last month that the Sox were "very unlikely" to trade Ellsbury this winter.
