Pelfrey, who was released by the Tigers earlier this season and is being paid $8 million by Detroit to pitch for the White Sox, claims there was no added incentive Friday. He's merely trying to establish his spot in a rotation that currently has three starters on the disabled list. The right-hander has won his last two starts after shaky beginning to his career with Chicago. Pelfrey was 0-4 with a 5.70 ERA over his first five starts but has turned it around with two earned runs allowed and 10 strikeouts over his last 11 innings.
