The Cincinnati Reds have activated and designated Pedro Strop (groin) for assignment. Its a bit of a surprise as Strop was an attractive free-agent pickup this offseason and only threw 2 1/3 innings for his new club and allowed one run with one strikeout and four walks over that span. The former Cub is likely to find a new home quickly, but doesnt hold too much value at the moment with his most value coming as someone who can help with holds depending where he ends up.
