Peavy turned in one of his better outings of the season Wednesday, holding the White Sox to one run over seven innings to pick up his second win of the season. Peavy's won-loss record still sits at 2-12 due both to his poor performance and a lack of run support, and for a while Wednesday, it looked like he could be headed for his 13th loss. The Giants trailed 1-0 after Peavy finished his final inning, but his mates rallied for seven runs in the bottom of the frame, due in large part to a controversial overturned call at the plate that went in the home team's favor. The win marked Peavy's first since Apr. 25, when he was still a member of the Red Sox.
