Peavy allowed two runs on three hits, walking four and striking out four over 6.1 innings of a 2-1 loss to Washington on Friday night. Making his first start since missing time with a back injury, Peavy (0-3, 6.43 ERA) was clearly shaking off some rust as he walked four and hit a batter in the outing. Known for his tenacity, he was able to limit the damage, but he will need to be more efficient if he wants to maintain his hold on a rotation spot, and help fantasy teams.
