Peavy (7-6) turned in one of his best performances of 2015 Wednesday, tossing six innings of two-run ball while striking out eight and walking just one in the win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Peavy has strung together four wins in his last five starts with a 3.52 ERA over that span. He hasn't been more than a decent NL-only pitcher this season, but that has been mainly a result of his lack of strikeouts. The eight-strikeout performance was likely an anomaly, as indicated by his 6.60 K/9 rate. Regardless, his next start comes at pitcher-friendly Petco Park against the Padres next Wednesday, and he will even have mixed league appeal for that start.
