Peavy (5-6) secured a win Saturday night, giving up three earned runs on four hits while walking one and striking out five over 5.2 innings in a 7-3 victory over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Peavy emerged from his first Coors Field start of the season relatively unscathed, pitching to contact and helping himself out at the plate with an RBI double. The 34-year-old has shown diminished velocity and doesn't miss bats at nearly the rate he used to, resulting in a career-worst 4.19 FIP. He's next set to take the mound Friday against the Padres.
