Peavy (2-6) pitched five innings, allowing four runs, five hits and two walks while striking out five in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.

The veteran entered the bottom of the sixth with a 3-1 lead, but gave up two doubles and a walk to the first three batters he face. Pulled from the game with a 3-2 victory, the bullpen couldn't get out of the right-hander's jam, leaving Peavy with his fifth loss in his last six decisions. He's posting the worst numbers of his career and can't be trusted in virtually all formats at this point.
