Pearce started Tuesday at second base and went 0-for-3 with a strikeout after Ryan Flaherty was placed on the DL earlier in the day. Pearce made his seventh appearance at second base and seems like a lock to hit the 10-game requirement before Flaherty can return to gain second base eligibility in many leagues. Unfortunately for Pearce owners, he has not been able to do much at the plate this season, hitting .196 in April and .150 in May. If Pearce can manage anything close to his numbers last year, he could turn into a solid 2B/MI option in fantasy leagues.
