Pearce hit a first-inning grand slam and drew a walk in four plate appearances Thursday against Seattle. His average is still lingering under the Mendoza line, but Pearce has been picking it up lately, having gone 5-for-17 with two homers and six RBI in the last five games. We'll need to see him keep it up, but he did manage to hit .293 last year somehow, and in leagues where he becomes eligible at second base, his power certainly plays.
