Pearce (hamstring) is scheduled to play first base in a rehab game Sunday with High-A Charlotte, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Pearce had been fielding grounders at first base just days earlier, and the Rays apparently felt comfortable enough with where he was in his recovery to have him test out his hamstring in game action. If all goes well Sunday, he could move his rehab assignment to the Double-A or Triple-A level in the coming days and perhaps rejoin the Rays later next week.
