Pearce will miss a sixth straight game while dealing with a stiff back, while Ezequiel Carrera draws a start in left in his absence. The 34-year-old has been out of rhythm at the plate recently -- when he's been in the lineup -- hitting just .122/.157/.184 with only three extra-base hits during his past 12 appearances. There still hasn't been a clear timetable for Pearce's return, but considering he was questionable for Thursday's contest, he could very well be back Friday.
