Paxton is still experiencing discomfort in his finger and will not resume throwing until the soreness subsides, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports. Paxton has a strained finger tendon on his pitching hand that continues to bother him three weeks after being placed on the disabled list. Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reported that Paxton believes the soreness will go away in three-to-four days. If all goes well, Paxton could start throwing shortly thereafter.
