Paxton (forearm strain) is expected to miss 1-to-2 starts, the Tacoma News Tribune's Bob Dutton reports.
EDGE Analysis
Given that it is a strain to his throwing forearm, it would be surprising if Paxton ended up missing just one start, but it sounds like it could be a relatively short stay on the DL. Durability was the only real question mark with Paxton coming into the year, and he has indeed proved excellent thus far, but hit the DL before the second week of May. Christian Bergman will be called up by Sunday and is an option to take Paxton's rotation spot in the short term. Dillon Overton is also an option to get a couple spot starts with Paxton sidelined.
