Manager Lloyd McClendon said Tuesday that Paxton was "highly unlikely" to toe the rubber Wednesday, and sure enough, the team will be forced to turn elsewhere for the series finale against Houston. Tony Zych has been tabbed for the start Wednesday, while Paxton will be given time to rest the finger before pitching in the Arizona Fall League.
