Paxton allowed two runs on four hits and three walks in seven innings Tuesday, striking out four at the Angels. Paxton gave up a two-run homer in the first inning but didn't have much trouble thereafter. He was in line for the win before the bullpen blew it. Paxton worked through mechanical trouble earlier in the season and now has consecutive strong outings.
