Paul Maholm struggled mightily in his Cubs debut surrendering six runs on six hits in four innings of work. Maholm struck out two and walked two in the losing effort. The Brewers got to him early putting up five runs in the first inning, capped off by a three-run homer from Alex Gonzalez. Maholm will attempt to get back on track when he takes on the Cardinals next time out.
