Paul Maholm is returning to Atlanta to have his left wrist checked by a team specialist. Maholm originally injured the wrist during his last start before the break and aggravated it on Saturday. The Braves remain confident that he'll be ready for his next start on Thursday, but we'll have to see what the specialist says.
