Paul Maholm had little trouble with his former team Monday, limiting the Pirates to two runs while striking out eight over seven innings. Unfortunately, Jeff Locke only gave up one run, and a Starling Marte longball in the fifth proved to be the difference. Maholm has proved to be a nice pick-up for the Braves and finishes the year with a 3.67 ERA and 1.22 WHIP. He'll be part of their postseason rotation. With the Braves' loss, the Nats are officially the NL East champs.
