Paul Maholm (flu) threw a bullpen session Wednesday. He's expected to throw another bullpen session Friday before finally making his Cactus League debut. The 29-year-old southpaw was a bit limited early in camp due to flu-like symptoms, but he still has plenty of time to get ready for the season. Maholm signed a one-year, $4.25 million contract with Chicago in January after posting a 3.66 ERA and 97/50 K/BB ratio over 162 1/3 innings last season with Pittsburgh.
