Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and a walk in a loss to the Rockies on Friday. Goldschmidt launched a solo homer in the seventh inning and later added an RBI single in the ninth. The 26-year-old ranks first in the National League with 35 home runs and 121 RBI. Pittsburgh's Andrew McCutchen is considered the favorite for NL MVP honors, but Goldschmidt should get plenty of support on the ballot.
