Patrick Corbin pitched eight innings of two-run ball and knocked in four runs Sunday as the Diamondbacks beat the Giants 10-2. Corbin, who had been 2-for-28 with 12 strikeouts as a major leaguer, had a bases-loaded triple and an RBI single in the contest. He was also plenty good on the mound against one of the league's hottest offenses. He struck out five and walked one in improving to 6-7 with a 4.02 ERA. A couple of more outings like this would go a long way towards getting him penciled into the 2013 rotation.
