Patrick Corbin narrowly avoided his first loss Friday after allowing one run in 7 1/3 innings against the Giants. Corbin was great, but Matt Cain was better for seven innings and Corbin left down 1-0. Fortunately, a Paul Goldschmidt three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth turned things around, so the Diamondbacks are still a perfect 12-for-12 with Corbin on the mound this year.
