Partch signed a minor league contract with the Giants on Tuesday that includes an invite to spring training, C. Trent Rosecrans of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. While the right-hander gave up just two hits and did not allow a run in seven innings with the Reds last season, he walked seven batters and sported a .118 BABIP, resulting in a 4.42 FIP. Further, posted a 4.75 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with Triple-A Louisville, leading the Reds to decline to tender him a contract at the end of the season. He'll get to compete for one of the Giants' final bullpen spots as a non-roster invitee, but Partch seems destined for Triple-A Sacramento to begin 2015.
