Parker was called up from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, Dargan Southard of MLB.com reports. Parker, who made several big league cameos in 2014, got off to a painfully slow start at Triple-A this season. He's turned things around of late, however, and his average now sits at a respectable .275 for the season. Capable of playing both first base and the outfield, Parker figures to provide depth at the big league level, and it remains to be seen how long the Rockies intend to keep him around. A corresponding move is yet to be announced.
