Parker looks on track to see a reduction in at-bats following Corey Dickerson's activation from the disabled list Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Though Dickerson didn't start in left field in Tuesday's loss to the Padres, Parker was excluded from the lineup in favor of Ben Paulsen, who had been squeezed out of his own everyday role at first base after Justin Morneau's recent activation. With Dickerson expected to play close to a regular basis from here forth and Ben Paulsen and Brandon Barnes seemingly ranking as his preferred backups, Parker may be limited to pinch-hitting duties the rest of the way. The former first-round pick has struggled mightily for the second straight season at the MLB level, producing a .167/.226/.321 batting line and striking out in 31 percent of his plate appearances.
