Parker has been designated for assignment by the Rockies on Wednesday, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.

The former first-round draft pick batted a mere .179 with three home runs, 11 RBI, and a whopping 33% strikeout rate in 46 games with the Rockies in 2015. He's expected to draw plenty of interest from other teams thanks to his power potential, so he may end up in a completely different organization by spring training.
