Panik is out of the lineup Monday against the Mets, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. The Giants will sit both of their double-play partners, as Panik and Brandon Crawford both get the night off with a lefty (Jon Niese) on the mound. Panik has fared reasonably well against southpaws this season with a .279 average across 81 plate appearances, so don't expect him to fall victim into a hard platoon at second base.
