Padres signed INF Scott Moore to a minor league contract. Moore had been at Triple-A with the A's, where he batted .275/.359/.475 with 11 homers and 56 RBI. It's not clear if the A's decided to release him or Moore requested it, but, either way, his promotion to the majors isn't imminent.
