Padres placed LHP Clayton Richard on the 15-day disabled list with a left shoulder strain. Richard thought he'd be fine moving forward despite having to leave Monday's start, but obviously that's not the case. It's not clear at this point how long he might be out or who will replace him in the rotation. Anthony Bass and Wade LeBlanc are obvious candidates.
