Padres optioned INF Everth Cabrera to Triple-A Tucson. One of the team's final two roster cuts, Cabrera looked overmatched this spring, compiling a .210/.258/.290 batting line with 14 strikeouts. With major league stints in each of the past three seasons, don't be surprised if he returns to the big club at some point this year.
