Padres manager Bud Black considers Luke Gregerson the most capable of taking over the closer job vacated by Heath Bell. Gregerson would be the top in-house candidate, but there's still a good chance that the Padres bring in help from outside the organization and keep Gregerson in a setup role. The 27-year-old right-hander posted a 2.75 ERA in 2011 but saw his strikeout rate plummet to 5.5, which was a huge drop from the previous two seasons.
