Padres avoided arbitration with 3B Chase Headley by agreeing to a one-year, $10.525 million contract. Headley was arbitration-eligible for a final time this winter. The third baseman is coming off a terribly disappointing 2013 campaign that saw him bat just .250/.347/.400 with 13 homers. He'll be aiming for a big bounce-back showing in his contract year.
