Owings (shoulder) was activated from the disabled list Tuesday. Owings was placed on the disabled list in late June, and will finally make his way back to the roster for the September expansion. The team has two other options at shortstop in Didi Gregorious and Cliff Pennington, but Owings should receive a good chunk of starts.
