Owings reached base the for first time in 2015, drawing a walk in four plate appearances Saturday in a 6-0 win over the Dodgers. He was 0-for-3 with a strikeout in his other plate appearances. Owings has started slowly with just the one walk and six strikeouts in his 15 plate appearances. His main competition for playing time - Nick Ahmed and Aaron Hill - aren't lighting up the scoreboard either, so while he needs to get going soon, he shouldn't be in jeopardy of losing playing time just yet.
