Oviedo signed a minor league deal with the Rangers on Monday that includes an invite to spring training. Entering his age-33 season, Oviedo is coming off middling 2014 campaign in which he made 32 appearances out of the Rays' bullpen, posting a 3.69 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP. He may be used at some point this season by the Rangers, but does not profile as a high-leverage arm.
