Barria cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Barria is arbitration eligible this offseason and instead of non-tendering him later the Angels will remove him from the 40-man roster now. Assuming he rejects the outright assignment, the right-hander will become a free agent after the World Series.
