Ortiz returned to action Friday night after getting an off day for general soreness. He went 2-for-2 with two walks and a run scored in a loss to the Mariners. One of those two walks was intentional and came immediately before Yoenis Cespedes launched a three-run shot over the wall at Fenway. Ortiz appears to be over the soreness and will be even better when the Red Sox add Rusney Castillo to the lineup.
